Police Compliation CD

<- Win a New York fly-away to see The Police live.
Forget the Rolling Stones, Aero Smith or even the Doors, the band that has made one of the greatest marks on music history is The Police. And nothing could kick off my summer better than a new cd celebrating The Police 30th anniversary. My favorite song on this new Police CD is Message in a Bottle. Message in a Bottle is the anthem that has described a basic truth in society. Everyone feels alone in a world full of people. Message in a Bottle is like a parable to the reality that is life, and who couldn’t use a little better explaining that we’re never really alone.
When you turn on the radio and The Police are on you know it right away. Their music can be in the background of almost any public place and people will be mouthing the words. Their music is slow enough to know it backwards and forwards but touches on issues and ideas that we can all relate to and probably use as a theme song for at least a few events in our life. The Police have a unique sound that rolls across people of different backgrounds, cultures and upbringings, providing a song that shows what binds us all as human beings.
The Police have the basic rhythm that started as far back as early tribal drums, the rock and roll of the 50’s and includes some of the funky techno beat that hit the music scene in the late 80’s. The Police have helped pave a road for other musicians not only by combining these sounds, but by being the first to introduce many of the sounds themselves. One of their most important influences into musicians throughout the 30 years The Police have been around is the use of serious topics addressed in a very understandable and deep way. Check out the new Police CD to see what I mean. Their lyrical ability is a full spectrum example of how music can be a literal soundtrack to the good, bad and sometimes just confusing things in life.
